Care Instructions

Our jewelry is crafted from a variety of high-quality materials. To ensure your jewelry lasts as long as possible, we've compiled some care instructions for you. Generally, the jewelry should be treated with care: remove it before showering or bathing (especially in the sea). Store your jewelry individually (ideally in the provided jewelry box), away from sunlight, and avoid contact with other objects to prevent scratches.

Wooden Beads

Our wooden beads are dyed especially for you with natural colors using a very gentle process, and in most cases without a lacquer coating. This gives the wooden beads their desired and unique vintage look, but it also means that the beads are more delicate than lacquered or chemically treated beads. Storage in sunlight, contact with water, as well as perspiration, perfume, hand creams, and body lotions can cause the beads to fade more than usual.

Use a soft cloth for cleaning. For stubborn dirt, use only mild hand soap and water, then gently pat the wooden beads dry. Never use chemical cleaners or ultrasonic baths, as these can damage both wooden beads and gemstones.

Sterling Silver

Tarnished silver jewelry can most easily be restored to a high shine with a silver polishing cloth or a silver dip (available at any good drugstore). Alternatively, a mild, granular toothpaste can be used. Spread the toothpaste onto the silver with your fingers and rub gently. Then rinse the toothpaste off with lukewarm water and dry thoroughly.

Avoid storing your jewelry in rooms with high humidity, as this accelerates tarnishing. Gold-plated necklaces and bracelets, in particular, should be regularly cared for to maintain their shine. Skin oils, makeup, and creams can contaminate the gold plating, causing the piece to appear dull.

Gemstones

The best way to clean our gemstones is with mild hand soap and water, then gently pat them dry. Since almost all stones have tiny inclusions or small cracks, never use chemical cleaners or ultrasonic baths, as these could damage the stone.

You should also never leave gemstones in the sun for too long or expose them to water too often and too much, as some gemstones can fade and lose their color as a result.

Tassels

The best way to clean our tassels is with a glass of water and a little soap. Dip the tassel in the water and gently rub it between your fingers to wash away the worst of the dirt. Then rinse the tassel with fresh water and gently comb it with a fine-toothed comb.
Then, wipe the water off the tassel and hang it up to dry. Afterwards, you can trim the end of the tassel with scissors, preferably hair-cutting scissors, so that it looks fresh and clean again.
